Lost in Translation 2

with 2 comments

We were watching the testimony of Toyota’s CEO to the US Congress on TV today and I believe Carla found out what really happened on this big issue with the Toyota’s brakes recall!

Most likely the US National Safety Agency Regulatory Engineer had a good conversation with a Japanese Toyota Engineer in order to approve the Toyota’s cars quality and safety. The conversation should have gone more or less like that:

NSA Engineer: So, we are here to approve Toyota Safety Standard. How about the safety of Toyota cars?

Toyota Engineer: Ohhh, OK, no brakes…

NSA Engineer: Very Good! Excellent. Never breaks! Japanese Quality!

Toyota Japanese Engineer: Ohhhh, never brakes! Yes, never brakes!

NSA Engineer: Great! Never Breaks! Made to last! Approved!  Time is Money!     Next…

We tord NSA Engineero... Toyota never brakes...never brakes!

Really cannot be more Lost in Translation than that!
